❝ Life is like a piano. The white keys represent happiness and the black keys represent sadness. But as you go through life, remember that the black keys make music too. ❞
“Oh, well have you heard of The Hunger Games? I’m the lead in that movie.” She smiled over at him.“ Just call me Jenn!”
“Oh!” With a raised brow, he lightly dragged a hand down the side of his face. “Of course, how didn’t I notice– I’ve only seen the movie once or twice, that’s probably why.” He chuckled softly and shook his head. “Well Jenn, I hope we can become really great friends.”
[Daehyun’s statement surprised her, but soon enough, her startled expression displayed a smile again] That’s perfect by me. Friends are rare species for me lately. [slowly, she started walking away from the place her ex-colleagues were at, gently dragging him with her by his sleeve] So, as friends, we should hang out and have some fun, right?
[‘he nodded his head a few times as a friendly smile spread across his face.] It’s the same for me, honestly. I can count all my friends on one hand, which is sad. ['he laughed silently and shook his head, gladly following her; he nodded once more.] Yep! As friends, I insist that we hang out and have some fun.
“Eh, well I wouldn’t really say I was born for acting but uh.."She trailed off, before laughing to herself."Dae? I’ll call you that. I’d feel bad if I pronounced your name wrong or something, so. Oh! And I forgot to introduce myself! I’m Jennifer.”
He gave a quick nod. “Dae would be easier for you to remember anyway, I’d hope– Ah, Jennifer. It does sound familiar, now that I think about it. I’ll do my best to remember that name!”
[a sigh of relief escaped her lips after hearing the man’s answer; a more confident smile then formed itself upon her lips] You have no idea how thankful for this I am. [she turned to look at the large group of people in their early twenties and tried to look apologetic; seeing the many nods and waves, she turned back at him and thanked him once more] Bless your soul, Daehyun. You’re my saviour.
Hey, it’s no big deal. [‘his smile widened more and he followed her glance, turning to lead her away from the larger group of people; he waved a hand dismissively, with a shake of his head and a quiet chuckle.] I’ll be your savior any time, Sora! I hope you don’t mind, but I’m officially going to call you my friend, whether you like it or not. ['he looked over at her, with an exaggerated and playful wink.]
I’m here for a high school reunion and I want to get away without them making a huge film about it. Could you, please, pretend to be interested and take me away or something of the sorts? I’d owe you my life. [she asked, in a slightly pleading tone]
Ah… Yeah, that sounds like something you’d wanna get away from. No problem though, of course I can do that! We can pretend like old friends wanting to catch up, heh. [‘he nodded his head a bit.] You wouldn’t have to owe me anything.
“I’m telling you, it’s the acting in me."She flipped her hair in a joking manner, before laughing softly after."Nice to meet you Daehyun. I really hope I pronounced that right?”
“Wow, it seems you really were born for acting, doesn’t it?” He gave a soft laugh and nodded his head once. “You pronounced it right, but if it’s too hard you can always just call me Dae instead."
